Mechanism of Action

Asiaticoside powder can act on the nucleus of fibroblasts, reducing the number of mitotic figures and decreasing or eliminating the nucleolus. With increasing drug concentration, intracellular DNA synthesis decreases, and cell growth is inhibited, with an inhibition rate of up to 73%. This suggests that the mechanism of action of asiatica is to block the proliferation of fibroblasts, thereby reducing collagen synthesis and preventing scar hyperplasia.
