Silicon dioxide has a wide range of applications in rubber and batteries. In rubber, silica can improve the physical and mechanical properties of the compound, reduce hysteresis, and lower rolling resistance without loss of wet slip resistance.

In batteries, silica can improve the electrochemical properties of batteries, such as mechanical properties, electrical conductivity, elongation at break, cycling performance and life. In addition, silica reduces the crystallization rate of polymer systems, maintains the consistency of the electrolyte in the battery, and reduces dry water failure.

Uses of Silicon Dioxide powder.

It is used as filler for color TV cable, wire casing and rubber transparent bottom. It is also used as thickener, thixotropic agent, antiprecipitant, matting agent, plastic opening agent, liquid drug adsorbent, cosmetic and papermaking filler.

Used as reinforcing filler of natural rubber and synthetic rubber, filler of synthetic resin, thickener of printing ink, antiprecipitant of pigment in paint, matting agent, soft polishing agent for vehicle and metal, and antisettling agent in emulsifier. It can also be used as a pesticide carrier and a filler for lightweight newsprint.

About 70% of silica is used as reinforcing filler of natural rubber and synthetic rubber, and the others are used as filler of synthetic resin, thickener of ink, antiprecipitant of pigment in paint, matting agent, soft polishing agent of vehicle and metal, and anti-settling agent in emulsifier.

It can also be used as pesticide carrier and filler for lightweight newsprint. Due to the advantages of good electrical insulation, low heat generation, light color and non-pollution of products, silica is also widely used in hoses, tapes, heat-resistant gaskets, rubber rollers and medical products.

As anti-caking agent, it can be used as powder flavor, the maximum use amount is 80g/kg; it can also be used in milk powder, cocoa powder, egg powder, phytolipids powder and instant coffee, the maximum use amount is 15.0g/kg.
