Abamectin Powder is a hexadecyl macrolide with strong insecticidal, acaricidal and nematicidal activity.Veterinary Medicine Abamectin is a broad-spectrum, highly effective and safe dual-use antibiotic for agriculture and livestock.

Uses and functions of Abamectin Powder.

• It is used for the treatment of many kinds of nematodes and ticks, mites, fleas, lice and flies inside and outside of horses, cows, sheep, pigs, dogs, cats and other poultry. Horse internal avermectin is highly effective (95%-100%) against adults and fourth stage larvae of large round nematodes (common round nematode, equine round nematode, toothless round nematode), roundworms (equine paracoccid), pinworms (equine sharp-tailed nematode), gastric worms (large-mouthed dracunculus nematode, flexnerine genus nematode), small intestinal nematodes (Ehrlichia hairy round nematode, caudal-like round nematode), and lung nematode (Anserine reticulatus nematode), and so on.
• When avermectin is given to cattle and sheep internally or by subcutaneous injection, it has a high efficiency (95%-100%) in the elimination of adult and 4th stage larvae of blood spear nematode, Ostreozoan nematode, Cooper's nematode, Trichoderma reesei (including Ehrlichia reesei), round nematode, Erythrozoan nematode, fine-necked nematode, hairy head nematode, esophageal oral nematode, web-tailed nematode, and Chabot's nematode adult and 4th stage larvae in sheep.

Production method of Abamectin Powder.

Abamectin is produced by Streptomycesavermitills. It is a new species of Streptomyces, belonging to gray Streptomyces (the producer of melbeycin, which is similar to it, is a water-absorbing Streptomyces). The morphology is that of an aerial mycelium branching, with spores generally appearing on oatmeal agar, glycerol, asparagine, inorganic salts, starch, and egg white agar. Observed by electron microscopy, the spore filaments begin as a tight spiral and gradually loosen at a later stage.

The spores on the spore chain are generally more than 15, round to ellipsoid, with smooth surface. The selection of strains is very important, different avermectin-producing strains make the content of each component of the fermentation broth different, and the selection of new high-yielding strains not only improves the total unit of avermectin, but also makes the proportion of B1 components significantly higher.
