Sodium hyaluronate is a component of normal aqueous humor and vitreous body. When injected into the anterior chamber or vitreous cavity, the normal concentration of these parts can be temporarily increased. The Healon in the anterior chamber was gradually diluted by the new aqueous humor and discharged through the Angle of the chamber via the scleral venous sinus. The Healon injected into the vitreous cavity gradually permeates into the anterior chamber and is diluted with aqueous humor. In monkey eye experiments, it was observed that the Healon injected into the vitreous cavity disappeared completely after 60 to 70 days. In this process, the concentration decreases while the molecular size remains the same. The injection of Healon into the anterior chamber of the monkey disappeared within 1 week, similar to the clinical observation of the human eye.

Sodium hyaluronate can promote wound healing. Sodium hyaluronate can form a large molecular mesh barrier on the surface of the eye tissue, prevent the inflammatory substances from entering the wound and lesion area, and significantly improve the viscosity and adhesion of the drug solution, so that the drug can be concentrated on the surface of the cornea for a long time, to achieve a long-term and powerful effect. Sodium hyaluronate can stabilize tear film, prolong tear film rupture time, and relieve dry eye symptoms. For keratitis, corneal ulcer, corneal injury or other chemical and physical factors caused by corneal burns.
Product Method of Bulk Sodium Hyaluronate Powder.
It is a salt of the carboxyl group of hyaluronic acid and sodium metal ions. Hyaluronic acid is commonly found in animals and humans, such as skin, muscle, cartilage, brain, comb, artery and vein walls. Commonly used raw materials are male crown, umbilical cord, ox eye and so on. The preparation method of chicken comb as raw material is as follows.
1. Extraction: Fresh comb washed with acetone, dehydrated and crushed, soaked in distilled water for 24h, repeated 3 times, combined with filtrate.
2. Remove protein and precipitation: the extraction solution is mixed and stirred with equal volume chloroform for 3h, the aqueous phase is separated, 2 times the amount of ethanol is added, the precipitation is collected, the acetone is dehydrated, and the vacuum drying is done to obtain the crude hyaluronic acid.
3. Hyaluronic acid is obtained by enzymolysis, complexation, dissociation and precipitation. And then it forms a salt with the metal sodium ion.
