Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Oxytetracycline hydrochloride, the name of a western medicine. Common dosage forms include tablets. It is a tetracycline antibiotic. It can be used for the treatment of rickettsial diseases, Mycoplasma spp. infections,Chlamydia spp. infections, regression fever, brucellosis, cholera, rabbit fever, bubonic plague, and soft chancre. It should be used in combination with aminoglycosides in the treatment of brucellosis and plague.

Uses and functions of Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride.

1, Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride can be used as the drug of choice for the following diseases:

(1) Rickettsial diseases, including epidemic typhus, endemic typhus, Rocky Mountain fever, Scrub typhus and Q fever.

(2) Infections of the genus Mycoplasma.

(3) Infections of the genus Chlamydia, including psittacosis, venereal disease, lymphogranuloma, nonspecificurethritis, salpingitis, cervicitis, and trachoma.

(4) Regression fever. (5) Brucellosis. (6) Cholera. (7) Rabbit fever. (8) Bubonic plague. (9) Noma.

It should be used in combination with aminoglycosides for the treatment of brucellosis and plague.

Physiological Effect of Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride.

1, Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic agent, many Rickettsia spp., Mycoplasma spp.,Chlamydia spp., spirochetes, amoebae and some Plasmodium spp. are also sensitive to this product. Enterococcus spp. are resistant to it.Others such as Actinobacillus spp, Bacillus anthracis, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium difficile, Nucella spp,

Vibrio spp, Brucella spp, Campylobacter spp, and Yersinia spp are susceptible to the product.Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride has some antibacterial activity against gonococci and meningococci, but penicillin-resistant gonococci are also resistant to hygromycin.

Over the years, due to the widespread use of tetracyclines, there has been a serious phenomenon of resistance to hygromycin in common clinical pathogens, including gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococci and most gram-negative bacilli. Cross-resistance exists between different varieties of tetracycline antibiotics.
