It has antihypertensive, antidepressant, sedative effects, and is the main active ingredient of the liver-protecting and jaundice-removing drug Tianjihuang. It is also highly valued as an active ingredient in the preparation of drugs for the treatment of myocardial hypoxia, cerebral hypoxia, ischemic diseases, and antithrombotic drugs.
