Product details
Succinic acid is used in the chemical industry for the production of dyestuffs, alkyd resins, glass fiber reinforced plastics, ionic interactive resins and pesticides, etc. In addition, it can also be used as analytical reagents, food iron fortification agents, flavoring agents and so on.
Uses of Succinic Acid.
Flavoring agent, flavor enhancer. In the food industry, succinic acid is used as a food acidifier for flavoring wine, feed, and candy. It is also used as improver, flavor substance and antimicrobial agent in food industry.
In the industry, it can be used to produce sulfa drugs, vitamin A, vitamin B and other anti-spasmodic agents, phlegm looseners, diuretics and hemostatic drugs. As a chemical reagent, used as a standard reagent for alkali method, buffer, gas chromatography comparison samples.
Also used as raw materials for lubricants and surfactants. In electroplating industry to prevent dissolution and pitting of metals. As surfactant, detergent additive and foaming agent.
Basic organic chemical material. Mainly used in paints, dyes, adhesives and pharmaceuticals. Alkyd resins produced from succinic acid have good flexibility, elasticity and water resistance. Diphenyl ester of butanedioic acid is the intermediate of dyes, and the reaction with amino anthraquinone generates anthraquinone dyes. In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used to produce sulfa drugs, vitamin A, vitamin B and hemostatic drugs.
In addition, butanedioic acid in the paper manufacturing, textile industry also has a wide range of uses, can also be used as lubricants, photographic chemicals and surfactants raw materials. Succinic acid can also be used as food acidifier for wine, feed, candy and other flavoring.
Preparation of Succinic Acid.
Product Method of Bulk MagnesiaSuccinic Acid Powder.
Butanedioic acid exists in amber, but also widely in a variety of plants and animal tissues. There are many industrial production methods, mainly the following ones:
1. Oxidation paraffin is oxidized to produce a mixture of various carboxylic acids, which can be separated to obtain butanediol.
2. Hydrogenation of maleic anhydride or transbutyleneglycolic acid under the action of catalyst hydrogenation reaction to produce butanedioic acid, and then separated to get the finished product. The catalyst is nickel or precious metal, and the reaction temperature is about 130-140℃.
3. Acrylic acid carbonyl synthesis method of acrylic acid and carbon monoxide under the action of the catalyst to generate succinic acid. Not yet industrialized.
4. Electrolytic oxidation phthalic anhydride and sulfuric acid and water in the ratio of 1:0.5:4, electrolysis in a ceramic electrolytic cell, can be obtained succinic acid.
5. acetylene method acetylene and carbon monoxide and water in the presence of [CO (CO) 4] catalyst. Reaction temperature 80-250 ℃, pressure 2.94-49.03MPa, in the acidic medium reaction can be obtained succinic acid.
