Schisandra Berry Extract Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Schisandra chinensis extract is the dried fruit extract of Schisandra chinensis Schisandrachinensis, etc. The main active ingredients are lignans such as schisandra a, schisandra b, schisandra alcohol A, schisandra alcohol B, schisandra propin, schisandra ester A, etc., but also contains a variety of volatile oils, such as pinene, and citric, malic and tartaric acids and other organic acids compounds. 

It is used for prolonged cough, asthenia, dreaming, spermatorrhea, enuresis, frequent urination, prolonged diarrhoea, spontaneous sweating and night sweating, thirst due to injury of fluid, shortness of breath, pulse deficiency, internal heat and thirst, palpitation and insomnia.

Uses of Schisandra Berry Extract.

Schisandra chinensis extract has the effect of lowering ghrelin aminotransferase, and is mainly used clinically for the treatment of all kinds of acute and chronic hepatitis, viral and prolonged hepatitis, severe asthma, night sweating, qi and blood deficiency type of paediatric colds, neurosis, obstructed labour, and potential Keshan disease.

Pharmacological effect of Schisandra Berry Extract.

1. Effects on the kidneys

Gomisin A and deoxynivalenol inhibit the increase of urinary protein excretion and improve serum biochemical indices.

2.Anti-allergic effect

Gomisin A has obvious inhibitory effect on rat homozygous passive allergic skin reaction (PCA), rat's skin allergic reaction.

3.Anti-tumour effects

Schisandra chinensis extract γ-gomisin has cytotoxic effect on leukaemia and KB cells, and inhibits DNA, ATP and nuclear protein metabolism of cancer cells.

4.Antibacterial effect

100% aqueous solution is most sensitive to dermatophytes. The ethanol infusion of Schisandra chinensis has inhibitory effect on Bacillus anthracis, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus albicans, S. paratyphi A and B, S. pneumoniae, S. typhimurium, Vibrio cholerae, Salmonella enteritidis, Shigella dysentery bacillus, S. variegatus, and so on in vitro.

It also has strong antibacterial effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It has antiviral effect both in vivo and in vitro.
