Gardenia glycoside is a cyclic enol ether terpene found in the fruits of gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides Ellis). Gardenia glycosides have a variety of biological activities, including antithrombotic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects. In addition, gardenia glycosides are also effective monomers for the production of gardenia blue, gardenia red, gardenia violet and other biopharmaceuticals.
