Humic Acid powder Usage and Synthesis.

Because it contains elements such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen, and active groups such as hydroxyl, carbonyl, carboxyl, quinone, methoxy, and aromatic nuclei, it has weak acidity, hydrophilicity, complexation, redox, ion exchange, and physiological activity. According to its formation process, it is divided into primary humic acid and regenerated humic acid.

According to its solubility and color, it is divided into black humic acid or humic acid (soluble in alkaline solution), palmitic acid or sweet clover acid (soluble in acetone, ethanol), and yellow humic acid or fulvic acid (soluble in water). It exists in soil humus and low-grade coal.

It is formed by partial decomposition of plant residues in the presence of air and water. It can be extracted from peat, lignite, or certain soils.

It is used as a soil conditioner, plant growth stimulant, pesticide, fertilizer, herbicide, medicine, mud stabilizer and ion exchanger for oil drilling, etc. It is also used in battery plates, etc. Its sodium salt or ammonium salt is used as a binder for pulverized coal to make humic acid briquettes.

Uses and functions of Humic Acid.

Humic acid is mainly used in industry as a treatment agent for oil drilling mud.

Humic acid sulfonate is used as an anionic surfactant in concrete engineering and water-coal slurry preparation; sodium humate-soda ash is used for scale prevention of low-pressure boilers, steam locomotives and automobile water tank water jackets; sodium humate is used as a ceramic mud additive to improve the yield and product quality; it can be used as a non-toxic mineral processing inhibitor and a precipitant for rare earth metals in mineral processing; it can also be used as a binder for shaped coal. Humic acid-based granular ion exchangers can treat cyanide cadmium plating wastewater, chromium-containing, nickel-containing electroplating wastewater and industrial zinc-containing wastewater.

Humic acid can be used in agriculture to improve soil or regulate soil pH; it has a synergistic effect on fertilizers; and it has a stimulating effect on plant growth.

China has done a lot of basic research and clinical trials on the application of humic acid in medicine since the 1970s, indicating that it has certain therapeutic effects in anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic, and improving human microcirculation and endocrine function.
