Product details
Lithospermum officinale has good anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, anti-fertility, antioxidant, anti-tumor, hypoglycemic, liver protection and cardiovascular system effects. Anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects are the traditional medicinal effects of Lithospermum officinale, namely anti-inflammatory, astringent and antipyretic effects. The anti-inflammatory components in Lithospermum officinale are mainly present in the alcohol extract.
Uses of Alkannin.
It is used as an antipyretic, detoxifying and anti-inflammatory drug. It can be taken orally to prevent measles, and can be made into an ointment for external use to promote granulation and is used for swelling, burns, frostbite, eczema, cysts, etc. It is also used as a laxative to promote bowel movements. In recent years, canned shikonin has also been produced by tissue culture and used as a cosmetic. L-shikonin is an enantiomeric dye extracted from lithospermum and lithospermum, which can be used as a dye and has wound healing, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-tumor effects.
Pharmacological Action of Alkannin.
1. Hypoglycemic effect Lithospermum leaf extract and lithospermum polysaccharide (A, B, C) have obvious hypoglycemic effect.
2. Antibacterial effect Lithospermum extract has an inhibitory effect on Jingke 68-1 virus in vitro, and has obvious antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus albus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Streptococcus A and Streptococcus B.
3. Effect on blood coagulation Intraperitoneal injection of lithospermum pigment components (shikonin, acetylshikonin) does not affect blood coagulation time, but can prevent the anticoagulant effect of heparin.
4. Anti-tumor effect Lithospermum extract has a certain inhibitory effect on the late DNA synthesis (G2 phase) of Hela cells.
5. Anti-tumor effect Shikonin inhibits proliferation, promotes apoptosis and induces cell cycle arrest in human choriocarcinoma resistant cell lines (JAR/MTX) cultured in vitro. Experiments show that the inhibition rate of shikonin on the growth of choriocarcinoma resistant cells increases significantly with the increase of dose and the extension of action time.
Product method of Bulk Alkannin Powder.
It exists in the roots of Lithospermum officinale, a plant of the Boraginaceae family, and in plants such as Lithospermum officinale in Xinjiang. Shikonin can also be produced by lithospermum officinale cell culture.
