Uses of Gypsum.

Calcium sulfate dihydrate is a raw material for the manufacture of cement, calcium sulfate hemihydrate and sulfuric acid. It is used as filler in paint and paper industry. Used as fertilizer in agriculture, it can reduce soil alkalinity and improve soil properties.

Edible grade can be used as nutritional supplements (calcium fortification), coagulant, yeast food, dough regulator, chelating agent, but also used as tomatoes, potatoes canned in the organization of the fortifying agent, the hardening agent of the brewing water, wine flavor enhancer and so on.
