Silica Acid Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Used for adsorption of gases and vapours, decolourisation of oils and waxes, preparation of catalysts and their carriers. It is used as a solvent for the production of tungsten wires, a chemical reagent in analytical chemistry, a contact agent and an adsorbent for chromatographic separation, and a raw material for the manufacture of silica gel and silicates. 

In analytical chemistry it can convert insoluble fluoride such as calcium fluoride and aluminium fluoride into soluble solution for fluorine determination.

Uses of Silica Acid.

Silicic acid is an important chemical substance with a variety of effects and functions. In industrial production, silicic acid can be used for the decolourisation of oils and waxes, the manufacture of catalysts and catalyst carriers, and as a chemical reagent.

In addition, silicic acid has a variety of biological activities that have a positive impact on human health. Metasilicic acid is mainly distributed in human skin and connective tissues, and has the effect of softening blood vessels, restoring the elasticity of blood vessels, and removing the fat deposited in the inner wall of blood vessels, therefore it can protect the normal function of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems.

In addition, silicate is also an important ceramic material that can be used in the diaphragm of lithium metal batteries.

Physicochemical propertyof Silica Acid.

Silicic acid, formerly known as metasilicic acid, chemical formula H2SiO3, formula 78.10. white amorphous powder, insoluble in water. It is a binary weak acid with ionisation equilibrium constant K1=2×1010 (room temperature). Natural silicic acid exists in large quantities as a salt.

Insoluble in hydrochloric and sulphuric acids. Dissolves in hydrofluoric acid and alkali solutions of potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide to form potassium silicate K2SiO3 or sodium silicate Na2SiO3 and water. Melting point is 150°C (decomposition).

When heated to 150 ℃ or more decomposition of silicon dioxide and water, silicon dioxide is silicic anhydride.

Monomolecular silicic acid can be soluble in water, for the binary weak acid, in the solution gradually condensed to form insoluble polyacid, to get a colloidal solution, called "silicate sol", the latter add electrolytes, or in the appropriate concentration of silicate solution with acid, then get silicate gel, dehydration of porous solid, called "silica gel Silica gel".

Can be used to do gas and vapour absorbent, catalyst or do other catalyst carrier. Because silica does not combine with water, so silica acid is mainly produced by reacting silicate solution with strong acid.

Product Method of Bulk Silica Acid Powder.

Hydrochloric acid method is made by soaking fine-pore spherical silica gel in hydrochloric acid for 4-6h and then washing it with pure water, drying it for more than 72h, washing it with pure water, and then drying it for the second time at 70-80℃ to make silica acid.
