Puerarin Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Puerarin is made from Pueraria lobata root extract, the main dosage forms are tablets, injections, etc. The main chemical components are flavonoids Puerarin flavonoids, which have the effect of improving immunity, enhancing myocardial contraction, protecting cardiac myocytes, lowering blood pressure, and anti-platelet aggregation.

Uses of Puerarin.

Pueraria Mirifica crude extracts and Pueraria Mirifica had regulatory effects on the proliferation inhibition, apoptosis induction and cell cycle of hepatocellular carcinoma cells SMMC-7721, both of which could inhibit their growth to varying degrees, and Pueraria Mirifica crude extracts could induce the apoptosis of SMMC-7721 cells.

Pueraria Mirifica can promote the proliferation of human T lymphocytes γδT and increase their killing activity, while the proliferation of γδT cells may be related to the activation of P-ERKl/2 signalling pathway and the expression of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 by Pueraria Mirifica, and the increase in the killing activity of γδT cells against hepatocellular carcinoma cells SMMC-7721 may be related to the expression of granzyme B, perforin and CD107a in γδT cells.

It can be used as an adjunctive treatment for coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, retinal arterial and venous obstruction, sudden deafness and ischemic cerebrovascular disease, paediatric viral myocarditis, diabetes mellitus and so on.

Pharmacological Effect of Puerarin.

Puerarin can scavenge free radicals in the body to varying degrees, reduce lipid peroxidation damage, and improve the body's antioxidant enzyme system, such as SOD, glutathione peroxidase, catalase activity.

Puerarin has the ability to improve immunity, improve microcirculation, dilate blood vessels, increase coronary flow, lower blood pressure, slow down the heart rhythm and reduce myocardial oxygen consumption without significant negative inotropic effects.

It also has anti-thrombotic, improve high-density lipoprotein, anti-vascular spasm and reduce platelet aggregation and other effects.

Pueraria lobata is the root of the leguminous plant sweet kudzu vine (pink kudzu) or wild kudzu Puerarialobata (Willd.) Ohwi. Sweet, pungent and cool in nature.

Attributed to the spleen, stomach and lung meridians. It has the effects of relieving muscles and fever, penetrating rashes, generating fluids and quenching thirst, elevating Yang and stopping diarrhoea, activating meridians and collaterals, and detoxifying alcohol.

Commonly used in external headache and fever, strong pain in the neck and back, measles, thirst, thirst, hot diarrhoea, diarrhoea, dizziness and headache, hemiplegia, chest paralysis and heart pain, alcohol poisoning.

Pueraria Mirifica contains a variety of active ingredients, mainly Puerarin. Puerarin is also known as 8-beta-D-glucopyranose-4',7-dihydroxyisoflavone.

Physical Description of  Bulk Puerarin Powder.

Melting point 187-189°C. Low content is brown powder, high content is white needle crystal powder, mp 187°C. Soluble in methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in water, insoluble in chloroform or ether. Soluble in methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in water, insoluble in chloroform or ether. If it is an injection now basically for the requirement of 99.5% or more content, and there is a requirement for the relevant substances
