Imidocarb Dipropionate Usage and Synthesis.

Midecar Dipropionate is a propionate salt of imidazolobenzurea, which is a new type of antiprotozoal chemical drug for animals, and is generally used in clinical practice to make preparations with its dipropionate or dihydrochloride, and is used for the treatment and prevention of various kinds of diseases caused by Babesiosis, Pearlysinosis, Trypanosomiasis, Erythrocytes, Bordered Edge Worms, and Taylor Worms by intramuscular or subcutaneous injections.

In the existing technology, midecarbamate is a non-sterile raw material drug, and the preparation method is to synthesise imidazolobenzuron and propionic acid in different organic solvents and then recrystallise them, which requires a large amount of organic solvents, and a large amount of recrystallised mother liquor results in a large amount of loss of products, and the recovery of solvents consumes a high amount of energy.

As midoxydipropionate has been found to have new clinical uses, such as the disclosure of the preparation of midoxydipropionate veterinary long-acting preparations and the disclosure of midoxydipropionate veterinary compound preparations for erythrocytosis and methods of preparation.

Non-sterile midoxydipropionate raw materials for the formulation of compound preparations are more difficult to produce.

In vivo studies of Bulk Imidocarb Dipropionate.

Imidocarb dipropionate is administered by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection to horses (3.4 mg/kg bw) and cattle (2.Img/kg bw). In horses, up to 4 doses may be given at 72-hour intervals. A second dose may be given 2 weeks after the first.Imidocarb dipropionate is also used in sheep (1. 2mg/kg bw) for the treatment of babesiosis and anaplasmosis.The acute oral LD 50 value of Imidocarb dipropionate is in the range of 646 to 723 mg/kg bw in mice.The acute oral LD 50 value of Imidocarb is in the range of 454 to 1251 mg/kg bw in rats.
