Product details
First isolated from pig bile by Streker in 1894 and officially named choline in 1962, choline is now a commonly used additive in human food. The U.S. Code of Federal Regulations lists choline as "Generallyrecognizedassafe"; the European Union's 1991 regulation lists choline as permitted to be added to infant foods.

Uses and functions of Choline hydroxide.
Choline is an important neurotransmitter that is vital to the function of the central nervous system. Choline promotes liver function, improves the liver's ability to utilize fatty acids, and prevents excessive accumulation of fat in the liver.
In addition, choline is used for endotracheal intubation and endoscopy under general anesthesia and for treatments such as tetanus or electroconvulsive shock.
Choline deficiency may lead to DNA damage, which affects the process of apoptosis. Therefore, choline has a wide range of applications in medicine.

Preparation method of Choline hydroxide.
A method for preparing high purity choline from choline chloride, said method being carried out in the following steps:
1) pretreating a strongly acidic cation exchange resin, said pretreatment process being: acid treatment, ultrapure water treatment to neutrality, alkali treatment, ultrapure water treatment to neutrality, and then repeating the acid treatment/ultrapure water treatment step more than two times, and ultimately rinsing with a large amount of ultrapure water, to obtain the pretreated strongly acidic cation exchange resin columns;
2) passing the aqueous choline chloride solution through at least one set of pretreated strongly acidic cation exchange resin columns to remove cationic impurities therein; 3) passing the aqueous choline chloride solution through the strongly acidic cation exchange columns through a bipolar membrane electrodialysis treatment to obtain an aqueous choline solution and a hydrochloric acid solution;
4) pretreating the strongly basic anion exchange resin column, with the pretreatment process in the following order: alkali treatment, ultrapure water treatment to neutrality, acid treatment, ultrapure water treatment to neutrality, and then repeating the alkali treatment/ultrapure water treatment step more than twice, and ultimately rinsing with a large amount of ultrapure water, to obtain the pretreated strongly basic anion exchange resin column;
5) passing the aqueous choline solution obtained in step 3) through at least one set of pretreated strongly basic anion exchange resin columns, removing anionic impurities therein, and then distilling and concentrating the resulting aqueous choline solution under reduced pressure to a desired concentration to obtain an ultrapure aqueous choline solution.

Product method of Bulk Choline hydroxide Powder.
Trimethylamine ethanol solution into the reaction pot, at about 30 ℃ through the ethylene oxide, stirring reaction 4h can be obtained products.
