Osthole Powder Usage and Synthesis.

Serpentine is a substance extracted from the fruit of the annual herb Serpentine in the family Umbelliferae, with the appearance of yellowish-green to white crystalline powder, insoluble in water and cold petroleum ether, soluble in acetone, methanol, ethanol, chloroform, trichloromethane, ethyl acetate, soluble in boiling petroleum ether, with antispasmodic, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, enhance immune function and broad-spectrum antimicrobial effects. Clinically, it is mainly used for the treatment of impotence in men, scrotal wet itch, women's vaginal itch under the belt, uterine cold infertility, rheumatism paralysis, scabies and wet sores, trichomonas vaginitis.
