Gluconolactone is a non-toxic edible substance used in the production of tofu and as a protein coagulant in dairy products. Uses of Delta-gluconolactone.

The mother liquor continues to evaporate and concentrate in the same way. The crystals were washed, dried to the finished product, the total yield of 75% to 78%. The advantage of this method is not to use organic solvents, but the viscosity of the concentrate is high, crystallization and separation operation is difficult.

Azeotropic dehydration crystallization method to the gluconic acid solution to add C3 ~ C4 alkanol, at 50 ℃ and 16kPa azeotropic dehydration. Then put the crystal seed into the concentrated liquid, crystallize at a reduced temperature, and then separated, washed and dried to get the finished product. The advantage of this method is that the system viscosity is low, the separation operation is easy, and the one-way yield can be more than 91%.
