Baicalein is a plant extract with a variety of pharmacological effects. It can improve cerebral blood circulation, increase cerebral blood flow and anti-platelet aggregation, and is clinically used in the treatment of paralysis after cerebrovascular disease.

Yellow crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, from the rhizome of Scutellaria baicalensis.

Product method of Bulk Baicalein powder.

Extract of Scutellaria baicalensis root crushed with water boiled 3 times, combined extracts, filtered and added acid to adjust the ph value of 4, stirred with slight heat and left to stand, centrifuged to separate the precipitate.

The precipitate was washed with water with ph value of 4 and dried to obtain the crude product.

The crude product was hydrolysed in 1.2mol-L-1 hydrochloric acid in boiling water for several hours, and the precipitate was filtered off by cooling, which was scutellarin.
