Preparation of Tetrahydropalmatine.

A, berberine hydrochloride was ring-opened in p-toluenesulfonic acid, xylene and HCl at 70°C to obtain berberine demethylene hydrochloride.

B. Demethylene berberine hydrochloride was methyl etherified in potassium carbonate, methanol, dimethyl sulfate at 40℃ to obtain palmatine hydrochloride.

C、Palmatine hydrochloride in methanol, sodium borohydride under the condition of racemisation to get tetrahydropalmatine.
