Extraction and separation of Bulk Raisin Tree Seed Extract powder.

Take 20.0kg of dried mature Hovenia dulcis, crushed into coarse powder, extracted with 70% ethanol percolation. The extract was concentrated under reduced pressure until no alcohol flavour, to obtain the total extract 1.8kg. To the extract add the appropriate amount of water suspension, extracted sequentially with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and n-butanol, after recovery of solvent to obtain petroleum ether extract (108g), ethyl acetate extract (450g), n-butanol extract (120g), n-butanol extract (100g), and then extracted by silica gel column chromatography.

The n-butanol extract (100 g) was eluted by silica gel column chromatography with gradient elution of chloroform-methanol system, and five fractions were combined by TLC, and fractions 3 and 4 were obtained by ODS, SephadexLH-20 column and preparative HPLC to obtain the compounds 1 (66 mg), 2 (7.5 mg), 3 (67 mg), 4 ( 28 mg), 5 (15 mg), 6 (23 mg) and 7 (20 mg).

3', 5'-di-C-β-D-glucose- rhizopodophyllin (1), isopimelin 2-O-β-D-glucoside (2), pimelin 2-O-β-D-glucoside (3), isospiritin (4), populin 3-O-β-D-glucoside (5), L-tryptophan (6), and pentosanic acid (7) respectively.
