Chrysoerioline, also known as chrysoerioline, wild indigoine, chrysoerioline, belongs to quinolizidine alkaloids, is a derivative of pyridine, one of the main alkaloids in bitter pea grass, mostly distributed in plants of Leguminosae and Berberidaceae, with multiple pharmacological effects such as anti-arrhythmia, anti-microbial infections, anti-ulcer, elevation of leukocytes and so on.

Pharmacological Effect of Cytisine powder.

1.Respiratory effect of chrysin is similar to that of nicotine, which can reflexly stimulate respiration.

When 0.02mg/kg or 1.5mg/kg was injected intravenously into the femur, it had a strong respiratory stimulating effect on anaesthetised cats, with accelerated heartbeat and a sharp rise in blood pressure, which quickly returned to normal with the disappearance of respiratory stimulating effect.

The respiratory stimulating effect of 0.01mg/kg dose was not only much stronger than that of the same dose of silymarin, but also stronger than that of 5 times (0.3mg/kg) dose of silymarin.

2.Pressurising effect on the cerebral circulation: Injecting 0.1mg/kg into the carotid artery of cats produced a pressurising effect on the cerebral circulation. This effect was inhibited by PgE1 or PgE2, but enhanced by anti-inflammatory pain.
