Almotriptan Powder Usage and Synthesis:
Eletriptan is a triptan migraine drug indicated for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults. Migraine (Migraine) is a common chronic neurovascular disease, manifested by recurrent headaches, autonomic dysfunction, and various combinations of other neurological symptoms. Attacks are often accompanied by numerous autonomic nervous system symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, pale complexion, rapid heart rate, rapid breathing, and gastrointestinal dysfunction. Almotriptan Powder is a potent vascular selective 5-HT1B and neuronal 5-HT1D receptor agonist with 6-fold higher affinity for 5-HT1D receptor than sumatriptan (Imigran, Imitrex) and higher affinity for 5-HT1B 3 times higher than sumatriptan. This product also has a high affinity for 5-HT1F receptors. Human 5-HT1B receptor mediates intracranial vasoconstriction. 5-HT1D receptors are mainly located in the presynapse of trigeminal nerve endings.
Clinical Application of Almotriptan Powder:
Almotriptan Powder inhibits neuroinflammation in the dura mater of animals. Therefore, this product may exert anti-migraine effect by constricting intracranial blood vessels and inhibiting neuroinflammation. This product is more lipophilic than sumatriptan and other existing triptans, and can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. Almotriptan Malate (LAS 31416) is a selective serotonin 1B/1D (5-HT1B/1D) receptor agonist indicated for the treatment of migraine attacks in adults.
